System Facilities Generalist


Installs and maintains a variety of electro/mechanical equipment in accordance with hospital or manufacturer's design specifications. Conducts preventative maintenance inspections within applicable codes and requirements.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / SPECIFIC JOB COMPETENCIES (This is not an exhaustive statement of duties,) responsibilities, or requirements.


1. Installs and maintains pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic controlled equipment, including biomedical electronics.

2. Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing per hospital policy and applicable codes. Makes repairs when necessary.

3. Performs minor repairs and installations for plumbing and sheet metal fabrication.

4. Maintains preventative maintenance and repair records as required.

5. Maintains and repairs kitchen equipment as necessary.

6. Maintains fire alarm systems. Performs required testing and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: High school graduate with supplemental courses in craft training and/or apprentice training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's permit

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical specifications. Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment. Ability to correctly use hand and power tools. Ability to fabricate new tooling.

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 10 years
