Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is currently seeking a Clinical Manager for our Eye Center and Endoscopy Unit.

Cottage Endoscopy is a fast paced unit with a focus on patient and staff satisfaction through teamwork, shared governance and a commitment to quality. Gastrointestinal, Pulmonary and Cardiac procedures are done in the department and throughout the hospital.

The nursing team works closely with the Endoscopist, Pulmonologist and Cardiologist. The ASGE (America Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) recognizes Cottage Health; Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for Promoting Quality in Endoscopy.

The Eye Centerhas an average census of 300 patients per month. Surgical procedures include cataract and retinal procedures, as well as laser assisted surgery, refractive vision correction, posterior capsulotomy, pan retinal photocoagulation, iridotomy and trabeculotomy procedures. The Eye Center supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and provides an environment of learning and professional growth for staff development.

The Clinical Manager is the first line manager responsible for the 24-hour functioning of the patient care unit and services. The Clinical Manager translates the organizational/system's mission and vision into operating through the design and provision of a quality, integrated service at a reasonable cost While primarily responsible for the operational quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the hospital's service, the Clinical Manager demonstrates an awareness of additional internal and external forces impacting care and resources at the point-of-service as well as across the care continuum. A commitment to clinical excellence is displayed through participation in and support of consistent implementation of clinical standards of care and practice and through professional development activities for self and service staff.

BSN, BLS, ACLS, PALS and California RN licensure required. Master of Science in Nursing or Master degree in a related field preferred. Recent clinical experience and progressive supervisory responsibility also required.
