We are currently seeking a Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our growing outpatient Pediatric Clinics. Responsibilities of this position will be as follows: additional support for both GI and Endo Clinics as they add additional physicians (50% of the time), and RD support for  Nephrology, Pulmonology, Behavioral/Developmental Peds, Cardiology, and Surgery, with a future Neurology Clinic planned.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION


Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in a related field.


Preferred: Masters Degree in a related field.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Minimum:
RD, Specialty Certification/Credential, Food Handler Cert.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS


Minimum: Basic Computer Skills to include MS Word.


Preferred: Experience with Nutrition related Software (i.e. Computrition, CBORD, Geri-menu).


YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE 


Minimum: 2 years in acute care setting.


Preferred: 5 or more years.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

  • Willing to travel  to Ventura clinic when needed
  • Weekend rotation (1 weekend every 3 months) to cover in-patient adult and Peds
  • Pediatric experience preferred, or strong interest in Pediatrics
  • California Children’s Services (CCS) paneling or eligible to obtain within 6 months
  • Specialty Certification (CNSC, CSP) or obtain within 6 months
