The Executive Chef plans, directs, and evaluates the purchase, preparation, and production of food for patients, cafeteria and special functions to ensure that the standards of safety, quality and performance are maintained. Organizes food production staff in order to ensure a cost efficient operation.

QUALIFICATIONS 

LEVEL OF EDUCATION 
Minimum: Culinary Degree or AA in field
Preferred: BA or BS in Hotel restaurant management

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
Minimum: Certified Chef or 5 years work experience with comparable training in the culinary field which provides management and technical skills to perform the job tasks competently. ServSafe Certificate or California Food Handlers Card.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 
Minimum: Knowledge of state, local and federal regulations which govern food service
